Hey! I’m Susan — a designer shaped by over 9 years in higher education.

My career started as an assistant web designer, where I first discovered the magic of building digital experiences. From there, I explored various roles—student advisor, event planner, marketer—each one giving me a deeper understanding of how systems connect, how people interact, and how thoughtful design can make all the difference.

Design, to me, is the intersection of everything I’ve learned and everything I’m passionate about. It’s the bridge between user needs and institutional goals, the balance of creativity and strategy, and the opportunity to design experiences that are both intuitive and impactful.

I bring empathy from advising, creativity from event planning, and structure from marketing into every experience I design. Whether I’m mapping user journeys, designing interfaces, or collaborating across departments, I’m driven by one goal: to create solutions that are as functional as they are delightful. ✨

When I’m not designing, you can catch me hanging out with my dogs, exploring the Pacific Northwest and learning how to ski as an adult (accepting any and all tips!).
